Review the complete path to the outlet
Check where treatment occurs, which cartridge or other stage is fitted and whether it has documented reduction claims relevant to the requirement. Include any storage inside the cooler and the manufacturer’s cleaning procedure. An upstream filter does not remove the need to maintain the cooler, outlet and associated water path.
Match filtration to the cooler’s incoming supply
Review the treatment before the cooler and any filtration fitted inside it. Identify the cartridge or element and its intended duty, then check that the flow and pressure requirements are compatible with the cooling equipment. The outlet and stored water path need their own cleaning arrangement. Replacing an upstream filter alone is not the complete maintenance plan for a shared drinking-water point.
| Requirement | What to compare | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming treatment | Identify the source and relevant quality requirement | Check compatibility at the cooler inlet |
| Built-in filtration | Identify the actual cartridge configuration | Retain consumable identity for replacement |
| Cooling equipment | Review storage and outlet cleaning | Follow the selected model instructions |
A selection mistake to avoid
A filter selected for one cooler may not fit another model’s hydraulic or treatment arrangement. Check the complete specification.
Do SWFI cooler listings identify built-in filtration?
The K600 range lists built-in 10-inch filtration. K-175-3F describes three-stage filtration. Confirm the exact elements and model-specific claims rather than treating the stage count as a rating.
Planning the enquiry in Sabah
Record normal use and busy periods so treatment capacity can be reviewed. Retain the filter model, installation date and service information. For an existing cooler, send its nameplate and a photograph of the filtration connection to SWFI. This helps distinguish a consumable enquiry from a wider equipment or water-quality assessment.
Information to prepare
- Cooler inlet requirements and water source
- Filter identity and documented duty
- Cleaning procedure and replacement records
Can any cartridge be added before a cooler?
No. Connection, flow, pressure, treatment duty and equipment compatibility need to be checked together.
Discuss your requirement with SWFI
Share your site location and the information listed above. SWFI can review the requirement; equipment selection, supply and service scope are subject to technical suitability and confirmation.
