Define the incoming stream and project boundary
Provide relevant analysis, sampling context, average and peak flow and any known variation. Explain how different streams are collected and whether existing treatment or storage is present. State the applicable project criteria supplied by the responsible project team. The treatment review should clarify which stages, utilities and site works are included in the scope.
A wastewater proposal needs stream characteristics and an outcome
Wastewater treatment should be selected using the actual stream, its variability and the project’s required result. Flow defines only part of the duty. Provide relevant analysis, sampling context and information about collection, storage and existing treatment. Monitoring equipment may support operation, while a particular treatment category is only one option for review, not a universal solution.
| Requirement | What to compare | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming stream | Describe source, analysis and variation | Separate different streams where relevant |
| Treatment outcome | Provide the project criteria | Confirm the actual discharge or reuse requirement |
| Operating evidence | Provide flow and quality information | Define monitoring and the supply boundary |
A selection mistake to avoid
A wastewater evaporator is not automatically suitable for every effluent project. Its role must be reviewed against the actual stream and treatment objectives.
Why are an analyzer and flow meter relevant to the project brief?
They relate to defined wastewater quality and flow measurements. They do not establish regulatory compliance or replace the responsible project assessment.
Planning the enquiry in Sabah
SWFI lists wastewater and effluent treatment among its offerings. Include a site layout, access conditions and available space when enquiring. Describe any existing operating problems using records rather than assumptions. Requirements for discharge or reuse should be confirmed for the actual project; this checklist does not establish regulatory compliance or replace the responsible technical assessment.
Information to prepare
- Wastewater source, analysis and flow variation
- Project criteria and collection arrangement
- Existing treatment, site layout and scope boundary
Can a wastewater system be quoted from flow alone?
Flow is only one design input. Stream characteristics, variability and the required treatment outcome are also essential.
Discuss your requirement with SWFI
Share your site location and the information listed above. SWFI can review the requirement; equipment selection, supply and service scope are subject to technical suitability and confirmation.
