Centralised stainless steel water filtration vessel
The SWFI Industrial Stainless Steel Water Filter series provides vessel options for centralised water filtration and water-softening configurations. The vessel houses selected treatment media and is installed at a shared point before water is distributed through a facility. Choose the model and treatment arrangement according to the water source, water analysis, treatment objective, service flow, backwash requirements, available space and project specifications. Vessel material and size alone do not determine filtration performance or drinking-water suitability.

Selection notes
Choose the vessel based on water analysis, treatment objective, normal and peak flow, pressure, backwash-water availability, drainage, connections, available space and maintenance access. Vessel material and size alone do not establish contaminant-removal performance or drinking-water suitability.
Frequently asked questions
What is an industrial stainless steel water filter?
It is a treatment vessel installed within a water system. In a media-filter configuration, water passes through selected media to achieve a defined treatment objective. Vessel material alone does not determine contaminant-removal performance.
What material options are available?
The catalogue lists SUS304 and SUS316L stainless steel. Select the appropriate grade according to water chemistry, operating environment and project specifications, and confirm it in the quotation.
How do I choose a model?
Consider treatment duty, water analysis, normal and peak flow, pressure, backwash-water availability, drainage, connections, installation space and maintenance access. SWFI can review these requirements.
What is the difference between filter flow and softener flow?
They are catalogue references for different treatment configurations. Use the filter-flow values for filtration assessment and the softener-flow values only for a suitable resin softening arrangement.
Does the vessel automatically include media and automatic backwashing?
The catalogue describes vessel options and separate treatment configurations; it does not establish that every model includes all media, valves or automatic controls. Confirm the supplied scope, media and backwash arrangement in the quotation.
Will filtered water be safe to drink?
Drinking-water suitability cannot be established from vessel specifications or clarity alone. The treatment train must be designed for the source water and verified against applicable water-quality requirements.
Can it remove dissolved salts?
A conventional media-filter configuration is not intended for broad dissolved-salt removal. If that is the objective, assess a suitable process such as reverse osmosis.
